<<< BackMountain Biking Route OnePanajachel - Tzununa - San Marcos Departure From Panajachel to Tzununa by boat. Starting with 5 kilometers of dirt road to San Marcos, and then a paved road to San Pablo, a stop at the Crystalline Beach to take a bath. We then continue to San Juan and finish in San Pedro, In San Pedro we take a break for 30 minutes and it´s back to Panajachel by boat. The trip consists of 5 hours, 4 hours of cycling and one hour by boat round trip. Includes: mountain bikes, helmets, road map, bilingual guide, Lunch and transportation by boat. Departures are every day at any hour of the morning. <<< BackMountain Biking Route TwoPanajachel - Santa Catarina - San Antonio This Trip begins with a tour of Panajachel and then we continue on to Santa Catarina Palopo stopping at several viewpoints to take pictures then it´s on to San Antonio Palopo biking between plantations of onion and anise with a breathtaking view of Lake Atitlan. On the way back we stop to take a bath in the local hot springs in Santa Catarina. All together a journey of 26 miles round trip. The entire trip consists of 4 hours. <<< BackMountain Biking Route FourChuaraxamolo - Santa Lucia - San Jose Chacaya - Solola - Pena Blanca and Panajachel We leave Panajachel by mini bus to chuaraxamolo, we then descend an impressive dirt road through cultivation of maize, potato, onion, tomato and more with a stunning view of the villages, Lake Atitlan and its three volcanoes. During the journey we will make stops in the local villages providing insights to the lifestyle of the inhabitants of the various hamlets. This tour consists of 5-7 hours on bicycle including rest stops and climbs riding on nature trails between rock and cloud forests covering around 40 miles. <<< BackMountain Biking Route FivePanajachel - Solola - San Jose Chacaya - Santa Lucia - Chuaraxamolo - Santa Clara San Pablo - San Marcos and Tzununa. We Start by taking a mini bus from Panajachel to Sololá. From Sololá we descend a dirt road passing through two kilometers of vegetable cultivations, then it´s a climb to San José Chacaya with wonderful views of terraced fields planted with onions, potatoes, tomatoes and more, continuing 13 kilometers to Santa Lucia Utatlán. After we descend a 6 kilometer off road natural trail with incredible views of the villages and volcanoes that surround the lake. We then arrive in Santa Clara where we have lunch and visit the basket weavers and see a mayan sauna called a (Tuj). Finaly we take the main paved road with fast descents to San Pablo and San Marcos covering 12 kilometers finishing in Tzununa where we get the boat back to Panajachel. Includes: mountain bike, helmet, bilingual guide, lunch, ground and boat transport. Price: 75 dollars per person |
